- Click on 'Start' in the bottom left corner, then click on 'Settings'. A window will display on your screen, inside that window select 'Dial-up Networking'.
- Double click on 'Make New Connection' to start the built-in connection wizard.
- A dialogue box called the 'Network Connection Wizard' will now be on your screen. You should now click 'Next'.
- You'll need to type in a name for the connection, it can be called anything. We would advise calling it something like 'Free Internet'.
- You will now need to select your installed modem from the drop-down menu called 'Select a Device'. Once you have selected your modem click 'Next'.
- In the 'Telephone Number' box type in 0844 535 2040 and leave the area code blank. Choose 'United Kingdom' from the 'Country or Region' drop-down menu, and then click 'Next'.
- That's it, just click on 'Finish'.
How To Connect
To connect to the internet using your new Free-Internet-UK.net connection click on 'Start', then click on 'Settings'. Now double click on 'Dial-up Networking' and then double click on the icon called 'Free Internet'. If you want you can make a shortcut and place in on your desktop for easier access.
Don't forget that our dialup internet access is also fully compatible with Mac OS X, Mac OS and Linux.
