Apple Mac OS X and the free dialup internet access from Free-Internet-UK.net work perfectly together, providing a fast and seemless user experience.
Mac OS X Configuration
- Click on the 'Apple' at the top left corner of the screen, then click on 'System Preferences'.
- Once the 'Systems Preferences' application opens, click on 'Network'.
- Click on 'PPP'.
- Type 'Free Internet' in the optional 'Service Provider' box.
- In the 'Account Name' box enter 'free' and type 'internet' in the 'Password' box.
- In the 'Telephone Number' box type in 0844 535 2040 and leave the optional alternate number box blank.
- We recommend checking the 'Save password' option.
- Click on 'Apply Now' to save your changes.
How To Connect
Go to 'System Preferences' and click on the 'Network' preference pane. Now click on the 'Modem' tab. Now select 'Show modem status in menu bar', there will now be a phone icon in the top right of your screen. Simply click on the phone icon and select 'Connect'. You are now connected using the Free-Internet-UK.net connection service.
